"market-mantra" Manma Emotion Jaage!!!

Image
"Emotions", an absolute integral part of every life on the face of Earth. "Kaam, Krodh, Lobh, Moh and Ahankar" is what a human soul is made of. Channelizing emotions started its journey from emojis, popularized over the various social media platforms. Emojis in due course somehow got through our veins and arteries. And, we like the pre-civilized human race have embraced pictorial demonstrations as the most convenient way of communicating. But if we portray our honest views such emojis proved themselves successful in gaining human involvements.  Facebook also in order to boost their "like" feature has implemented emojis, which has actually accelerated our affinity to like stuffs over FB. Because, now a "like" not necessarily describes a happy emotion, it has its own dynamics. Emojis has helped us to become more virtually expressive. Marketers being the most opportunists of the kind, has penetrated their claws in human emotions to serv...

Set the Goddess free!

"India" the land of diversity, art, culture and hypocrisy. Indians take great pride in brooding over their culture, values, respect etc etc and a long list. But, why does Indians don't brood over their hypocrisy? That is the most integral part of our so called system. Here, a girl is claimed as "ghar ki lakshmi" yet holds the highest rate of girl child infanticide. We worship goddesses like Maa Durga, Maa Kali as the symbol of strength and then sexually assault a girl on street. But,such issues has become very casual for us because after all India runs on the platform of patriarchy society where "maard ko kabhi dard nahin hota" instead "maard to daard dete hain"is in fashion. No, don't take me wrong for those feminist types. I am not a feminist. The concept of feminist itself is a hypocrisy, it is moreover like staying under the veil of discrimination demanding for equality. These thoughts has seeped out from a different pipel...

"market-mantra"AYURVEDIZED

Image
Ayurveda,  a medicinal therapy which is practiced in India since ages. Kerala being the birthplace of Ayurveda is still popular around the globe and generates medical tourism. In ancient India, sages had mastered the art of Ayurveda and wrote several ancient texts on miracle herb therapy. With the passage of time, especially during the 1970s companies started entering the Indian market with innovative products and Ayurveda being a source of beautification therapy eventually lost popularity. But little did history ever thought an Indian company in the 21st century will revolutionize the whole Ayurvedic system and add wrinkles on the foreheads of so called market leaders in FMCG products. This organization led by an one man army created history once again, not just in terms of Ayurveda but also in terms of building up marketing strategies and penetrating the market to its core. Baba Ramdev along with Acharya Balakrishna customized the latest technology with the ancient s...

When MAA sets foot in Hyderabad

Image
Since the month of July something that motivates a Bengali to keep going with the daily "ghisi piti jindagi" is Durga puja. Our hearts seems to pop out from their cages in the hope of 4 days of happiness. But, not all Bengalis are lucky enough to set foot at their homes during Maa's homecoming. For them the only probable options are either you seek for some happiness or just let go. This time I kept my will power going with the fire in my belly of not screwing up my Durga Puja. By somehow managing to flick out from daily schedules for two days, ignoring the heavy rains, explored the twin cities on bike through twelve Durga puja Committees. So, heres presenting Hyderabad Puja Parikroma, 2017. Utsab Cultural Association, Hitech City This particular puja is closest to my heart, not just because I am visiting this place since the last two years or it is closest to my residence. The ambience of this place, the people of the committee and their heart warming welco...

"KOLKATA" Calling

Image
"Facebook" it is no more a socializing platform or an application, its a  part of life. During a random scrolling through my home page early this morning, something that really depressed me is "Durga Puja". Now, being a bong, how can Durga Puja be depressing for me????? Yes, there is a set of young bongs, who being crushed under the Socio- Political turmoils, bearing the baggage of career and dreams has sailed away from the City of Joy with tears in their eyes. And, somehow the Durgotsav hype has failed to reach South. I am one of those home-away, yet home-sick Bangalis who on this auspicious day of Chaturthi is trying to quest those fluffy clouds, those Kans grass, the hide and seek among light and shadows and those "dhanker beats" but all in vain. Being a Management student my day starts with Philip Kotler and ends with Seth Godin with background score of "Mahisasurmordini" playing on YouTube. My heart beats in an aptitude class but fl...

"Chotu I am proud of you." speaks Chotu's mother as she takes her last breathe. This story is about a 14 year old boy Chotu who almost gained an experience equivalent to 40 years trying to fight with poverty, society, illness of mother etc. Chotu like every other teenage boy of his age had a childhood, had dreams but everything shattered into a nightmare as his father left them to start a new life. Chotu did not wake up every day to get ready for school. He was the home maker as well as the rice earner of the family. His life was black and white but he had distant colorful dreams. Every morning after doing the household works and taking care of his ailing mother, he used to run to Arif Bhai's garage. There he was pocket-size employee who was a dynamite in small technical works, to hover about and bring tea for the owner.            This is how he used to spend his day. During the lunch time, he never used to...
