"India" the land of diversity, art, culture and hypocrisy. Indians take great pride in brooding over their culture, values, respect etc etc and a long list. But, why does Indians don't brood over their hypocrisy? That is the most integral part of our so called system. Here, a girl is claimed as "ghar ki lakshmi" yet holds the highest rate of girl child infanticide. We worship goddesses like Maa Durga, Maa Kali as the symbol of strength and then sexually assault a girl on street. But,such issues has become very casual for us because after all India runs on the platform of patriarchy society where "maard ko kabhi dard nahin hota" instead "maard to daard dete hain"is in fashion. No, don't take me wrong for those feminist types. I am not a feminist. When MAA sets foot in Hyderabad

Since the month of July something that motivates a Bengali to keep going with the daily "ghisi piti jindagi" is Durga puja. Our hearts seems to pop out from their cages in the hope of 4 days of happiness. But, not all Bengalis are lucky enough to set foot at their homes during Maa's homecoming. For them the only probable options are either you seek for some happiness or just let go. This time I kept my will power going with the fire in my belly of not screwing up my Durga Puja. By somehow managing to flick out from daily schedules for two days, ignoring the heavy rains, explored the twin cities on bike through twelve Durga puja Committees.
